• Embossing

Embossing makes the design stand up from the paper or board on which it is printed and is often done on greeting card, letterhead, folder, packaging boxes, and business card. Another example is the production of Braille for the blind. After printing, the card is pressed against a special block, which forces the design to stand out. You can feel the difference. It may also be pressed from the front to make the design recessed.
