ABOUT US
As a commercial printer PRINTMY SDN BHD celebrated its 9th anniversary in Nov 2009, and we wish to thank our customers for their continued support.
Our goal has always been to build long-term customer relationship by listening to, understanding and exceeding our customer’s need. We believe that as a printer our success can be traced directly to our uncompromising focus on quality printing and service that we provide to our customers.
At Printmy, we are more than a commercial printing company; we are our customer's printing consultant. A typical printing company takes a quote request from their customer and simply provides their current price to the client without offering alternatives and added value solutions. Conversely, a print consultant reviews and understands the needs of the client and looks for ways to maximize the effectiveness of their printed products. We can do this by making suggestions to reduce costs or by providing ideas to make the printed piece more effective.
We do this on individual jobs, but more importantly, on the overall print requirements for the entire organization. We have worked closely with our customer’s to evaluate their total printing costs and recommend ideas to either save money or improve the effectiveness.

OUR SERVICES
• Offset Printing
Offset Printing remains the industry's most common method of producing printed material. With very little technological changes in this traditional printing technique over the past century, nearly 90% of all printed material is still produced by an offset printing method. Newspapers, magazines, and books to maps and business forms are all principally produced utilizing this photo-image reproduction technique.
While nearly all printing jobs can be produced by traditional offset printing techniques, the most efficient applications for offset printing is when large formats are required or where the quantity requirements are very high.
At Printmy, we have merged traditional offset printing with evolving digital workflow techniques to provide an uncommon flexibility and "real" solutions for our clients. The value-added advantage by combining the multiple production methods can save time and money for most high-volume consumers of printed products.
• Digital Printing / Fast Print
The phrase "Digital Printing" is overused and is the casualty of a wide range of interpretation and misunderstanding. For the sake of consistency, the term "digital" should be used to describe the manner in which images (files of text or graphics) are transferred to a printing device, and not to describe the actual output. The "Digital Workflow" is much easier to comprehend.
Another important misconception of "digital printing": is that of quality. Many print buyers and non-digital printers have wrongly accused the digital print world. Pure digital output is an "original," not a copy. Every additional image of the electronic file is an additional original, not additional copy! If you understand this, you have conquered the basis of the dominant misunderstanding. True Digital Printing Services are not the same as copying!
At Printmy, we have merged traditional printing with evolving digital workflow techniques to provide "real" solutions for our clients.

• Screen printing
Screen printing or silk-screening is a printing technique particularly suited for flat or relatively flat surfaces. The heart of the process involves a fine mesh or screen that is tightly stretched around a rigid frame. The areas that are not to be printed are masked out on the screen. To create the print, the framed screen is positioned over the item to be printed along with a dollop of thick ink. A squeegee is then used to press the ink through the screen. The masked areas prevent ink from passing through, but the unmasked areas allow the ink to be imprinted on the material. The final step is to send the item on a conveyor belt through a heat-tunnel. This curing process ensures that the inks dry quickly so that they materials can be stacked or packaged. Properly cured inks will remain on the printed substrate even under harsh conditions.
If more colors are desired in the final design, the process is repeated with different screens. Therefore, a design that requires four different colors would require four different screens. The screens are usually placed on a rotary press, which allows the different color prints to be properly aligned or registered with each other.
Screen-printing is most commonly used for t-shirts, garments and other fabrics. Screen printing also used on all sorts of other substrates ranging from plastic to metal. Although small and intricate details can be captured, screen-printing is ideally suited for bold and graphic designs.
When a screen-printer prints on darker items, a base print may be required to ensure that the colors maintain their vivacity. A base color (usually white) is applied wherever the final print is desired; it is then flash-cured and the subsequent colors are printed on top. This flash-curing technique adds another step to the process, but ensures brilliant prints on dark or even black materials.
